The (BRAND NEW!) INTERNET ADDICT Support Group site is dedicated to providing information to anybody who believes that internet addiction is part of their life, using a multimedia approach that allows the power of support to be utilized effectively.

One can post messages, blogs, join chat rooms and groups, communicate with audio or visual equipment to contribute to this ever growing and dynamic site. You can even set up your own webpage if you so choose!

Here, one will find those who are curious, those who are knowledgeable, those who know others in similar situations, those with opinions, those who have succeeded in their efforts, as well as those who have failed before and are struggling now to learn more about the pervasive phenomena known as INTERNET ADDICTION.

Do I have a problem with excessive use of the internet?

What is the definition of controlled and/or casual use of the internet?

How can I best approach a friend or loved one whom I feel is struggling with issues having to do with internet addiction?

What have other people done in similar situations?

Am I alone? (the answer is a resounding NO!)

How can things get better?

How can I share my experience, strength and hope to help other internet addicts or their loved ones who are in need?

How can I be helped by others, who may have a unique or different approach to solving issues I am dealing with NOW?

.... and many others.

If any of this fits you, please feel free to join our group! Remember, you are unconditionally welcome to contribute effectively or just to learn from others, and please make yourself at home!

I had been at the jumping off place, where my life was appearing to be better off ending in order to eliminating the trauma of emotional and mental anguish which I was going through. I came dangerously close to taking action, but outside of myself, something came across that made me call someone and we talked for several hours and finally made it through and over the significant hurdles of self. I know what it feels like to have my head in the noose and have someone show up and challenge my decision. I will always be grateful for supportive friends. I know I must never let this crap beat me or win. Read More »
